Privacy Policy
MacroDivers is a personal underwater photography, diving and travel website created by Andrew Grundy and Di Syrett.
This page explains what information may be collected when you visit the site or contact us by email.
Who We Are
MacroDivers is operated by Andrew Grundy and Di Syrett. You can contact us at [email protected] or [email protected].
Information You Send to Us
If you contact us by email, we may receive your name, email address and the message you choose to send. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry or continue the conversation you started.
Cookies, Analytics and Tracking
MacroDivers uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, popular pages, referrers, device types and site performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is intended to provide privacy-focused measurement without advertising cookies or individual visitor profiling.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity or similar advertising or behavioural tracking tools. If we add non-essential cookies, advertising pixels, newsletter tracking or embedded services that store or access information on your device, we will update this policy and add a consent option where required.
Hosting and Security Logs
The website is hosted using Cloudflare services. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, device information, request URLs, timestamps and security logs to deliver the website, prevent abuse, improve reliability and protect the service.
Embedded Content
MacroDivers may link to or later embed content from third-party websites such as YouTube, Instagram or dive operators. Embedded content may behave as if you visited those websites directly, and those services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.
Admin and Species Data
The private MacroDivers admin area is separate from the public website. Species records are used to manage marine life content and identification information. Private admin access is not intended for public visitors.
How Long We Keep Information
Email enquiries are kept only for as long as they remain useful for replying, record keeping or continuing a conversation. You can ask us to delete your email conversation where we no longer need it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of personal information we hold about you. To make a privacy request, email Andrew or Di using the contact details on this page.
Photography and Copyright
Unless otherwise stated, all text, photographs, infographics and website content are copyright 2026 Andrew Grundy and Di Syrett. Please contact us before using images or written content from this site.
Updates
This policy may be updated as the website develops, especially if we add analytics, a contact form, embedded media, newsletters, ecommerce or other interactive features. Last updated: 23 June 2026.
