Geographic Distribution
Indian and western Pacific.
Identification
A high profile with the gills at the highest point. The most obvious feature are the circular orange pustules or tubercles across its body. Gills are white with orange and rhinophores are lamellate and orange. Neither are retractable.
Behaviour / Habitat
This nudibranch (like all Gymnodoris species) is predatory and feed on other opistobranchs and their eggs. This is why the common name is 'Shameless' as impudica is Latin for immodest or shameless.
